Cancun is great! I go there every time I'm in town. The owner/manager, Juan, really knows how to take care of his customers. The food is cheap, delicious, and comes out fast. Perfect place for lunch.

We chose this place based on Yelp. On our way to Minneapolis for a fun trip. So drove over...and based on outside would not be a place we tried on our own. Inside is clean but old and dated. Service was great!! From order taking to having the bill...perfect. Good chips and salsa included to start. Nice mild flavor and eat to munch and talk. I had carne asada... steak was perfect, beans and cheese were so much better than most places. Guacamole was very good. Yeah I liked my meal and I'd come back in a flash. My wife had chicken chimichamga. Oh yeah... fried to a golden crunch perfection.. delicious chicken. Too bad no one at home can make them like this. Priced... extremely reasonable. So full but I wanted dessert so we shared a flan. Huge serving with whipped cream and chocolate drizzled over it. I prefer caramel sauce but my wife was digging in and loved this. Not as smooth as some flan...probably a lot of egg here..again she loved that too. I think we'd come back just for the flan and to try the sopapillas.

This is not a good restaurant and definitely not good Mexican. Boiled meat is not how to make carne asada, and if you use stew meat at least put flavor in it. Chicken is not boiled either for tacos. Come on! Watery meat is not good. Tomato paste salsa. Not worth the money. Hot pockets taste better. On top of that I was charged extra for spicy salsa, who does that? And then I ordered tacos and asked for shredded beef and was also charged extra for that. None of this was disclosed when I asked for it. It was some extra charge on the receipt. A $4 extra charge. What a rip off.

I have eaten here almost ever Wednesday for the last two years. The food is delicious, the drinks are great and the staff is fantastic. Do not miss an opportunity to visit Cancun.

Excellent, authentic food with great variety on the menu & great service. Under the vegetarian section of menu, had the fajita vegs and cheese that comes with toasty flour tortilla, salad and rice/beans. Added guacamole with it-- excellent.

Atmosphere is a little "rustic" - service was good - but the food was fantastic. I had the talapia / mushroom / spinach dish in the specialty section of the menu ---- can't wait for the next time I travel past mason city!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
